WHO ARE WE?

Play'n'Around Early Learning and Education was established in 2010 at our Illawong centre by myself (Jess Freeman) and my husband (Nick Freeman). Built on a passion and love for teaching children in the formative years of their lives, we have always and will continue to make our service about the personal growth and education of the children who enrol at our services. When a new child enrols with us we aren't just enroling a new child, their entire family (and extended family, yes we love meetings everyone's grandparents, aunties and uncles as well!) become a part of our wider Pre-School Community something we cherish and pride ourselves on providing. This strong sense of community and family is the foundation in which we build each child's experience with us providing them with a sense of stability safety and re-assurance right from their very first day.

Why "Play'n'Around Early Learning and Education"?

Put simply the "Early Learning" part refers to the self help and life skills each child learns with us. Things we consider an important part of a child's day are collaborative learning experiences, learning ways to communicate thoughts and ideas, confidence building, hygiene practises and also being able follow directions from their educators. "Education" refers to the intentional teaching practices we implement for children throughout the day. Each day Educators use their knowledge to scaffold each child's learning to create experiences enabling the children to grow and develop. Each child is able to follow their own learning journey that is the right path for them. We pride ourselves on preparing each child in their journey to school. The children in our care move on to school as confident and capable learners.
